So, here are a couple of cards I created from sketches of my own, using some Fancy Pants Designs goodness.
I created both my cards using Fancy Pants Designs new Home for Christmas collection. For the card above I used a couple of the stamps, a layered sticker (tag with gift) and some tape stickers. I love how quickly this card came together.
For this card I used a few of the small banner die cuts to create a little garland on some jute. I also used the little frame stamp as a focal point as well as a repeating detail. A little chipboard birdie peeks through the window and one of the sticker fundamentals sings to you... "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas". While creating this card I almost got James Taylor's version of this song playing on my iPod, but I refrained. Is it too early for Christmas music? Maybe next week? :-)
So, has all the World Card Making Day fun got you creating lots of cards? Need some more loot to add to your card making stash? I want to give this away...
All you have to do is leave me a comment and tell me when you typically start listening to Christmas music. You have until Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at midnight (12:00 am Central Time), to enter. Winner will be drawn by a random number generator and posted on my blog Thursday, October, 11, 2012.
Happy World Card Making Day. And happy blog hopping!

These are fabulous cards!!! Love them!!
As for Christmas music - I probably start in December! I can't start too early or I get too excited waiting for the day to arrive. I am like a big kid when it comes to Christmas!
I love that you created your own sketch. Wonderful tag card and window card. I know they will be loved.
There are certain Christmas songs I listen to on my iPod all year longwhen I walk. Because they are just so moving, and that keeps me moving :)
Such cute cards! I love that you make your own sketches!! I either follow one from a challenge, or I "wing it", lol!
As for Christmas music, I love to listen to it while I'm making Christmas cards...which has pretty much been all year this year! I got caught short last year (I have to send them out very early!), so I've started in January this time! Thanks for the chance to win your yummy candy!!!
Happy Hopping!
Both cards are wonderful. I love the stitched details but, as I love tags more than should be allowed, I heart the tag card the most.
As for Christmas music, I'm a December fan. There's a compilation CD called Yuletunes from Black Vinyl Records that I love. I smile whenever I hear one of the songs on a store's muzak system during the holiday season.
Very cute sketches! I might have to CASE! I start listening to Christmas Music when it gets cold here in Arizona. It's too hot to even pretend it's cold! :)
These are great Amy!! I particularly love that second card! Great job! :)
"Tweet" cards and wonderful sketches, thanks for sharing =) I'll be listening to holiday music today as I work on Christmas cards. The chill in the air today is also helpful to getting in the holiday card making mode !
I'm so impressed that you have your own sketches. I wish I could do that.
I start listening to Christmas music on Thanksgiving...which drives my hubby crazy lol.
I usually start listening to Christmas music right after Thanksgiving. It gets me in the shapping mood. I love your FancyPants card. So you create your sketches and then design your card? I usually follow a sketch or follow my gut. By the way you forgot to turn off you word verification.
Oh goodness-- love it! I simply adore that you used your own sketches--seriously amazing! Hmmmm Christmas music...a bit too soon but I may watch Elf :) hehe!
These are beautiful! You are so talented. I especially love how you repeated the frame on the second card.
As for Christmas music, I usually start on Thanksgiving, but sometimes, when I am making Christmas cards early, I will listen to Christmas music just to get the right frame of mind!
I love the idea of you creating your own sketches to use. I have a hard time using up tags, so your first card is such an inspiration. I adore the banner you created on your second card.
I start listening to Christmas music after Thanksgiving dinner - while the gals in my family peruse the papers for the Black Friday sales and we plan our shopping trip. It definitely gets us in the 'mood.'
I'll start listening around the first week of November... I need it to get me into the Christmas mood!
Lovely card too. :)
I listen to Christmas music year round....shhhhh don't tell anyone! Headphones are a godsend :)
Thanks for the inspiration and sketches!
Happy World Cardmaking Day!

I like the way you used the tags. Great cards.
Gorgeous cards and beautiful details! I love your sketches! I start to listen to Christmas music around the 1st of November!
Terrific cards! I particularly like the design incorporating the tag. Thanks for sharing your sketches today too.
I have a huge collection of Christmas music (about 70 CDs) and continue to add one new CD each year. I start listening to them the week before Thanksgiving and continue right through to the Epiphany on January 6th.
Very nice cards! I really like how you used a tag on the first one and the bold sentiment…it makes it stand out quite nicely! The second card is gorgeous! love the layout and the colors!
Great cards, Amy! Love those sketches :) I really like the way you incorporated the twine and pennants, too. Thanks for being part of our hop today! ~ Julie, OWH Blog Team :)
Your sketches are nice and the cards you made very fresh.
Fun cards! Great combination of elements! I start listening to Christmas music in earnest after Thanskgiving, but I'm known to pull it out any time, January - October should the mood strike me.
Mmm Fancy Pants! So pretty!
I start Christmas music right after Halloween. Hehe. I just have to do it when no one else is home to complain!!
Pretty cards! LOVE the bird one!!
I start listening to Christmas music the day after Thanksgiving :)
I start after Thanksgiving! Love that bird card with the cute banner! tfs!!!
I love how you've made your own sketches! Your cards are lovely!
I typically start listening to Christmas music in November sometime unless my husband gets the jump on things in October.
Sweet cards! I start Christmas music day after Thanksgiving, though in all fairness, I have been assembling a playlist as we 'speak' for a holiday stream, so I already have tunes in my head

Lovely cards! Christmas music waits till mid December.
Great cards! Officially my house turns to the Christmas tunes on December 1st, but I like to play some while I am putting together my December Daily and planning our holiday festivities. Some favorites in my house: Christmas in Jail, I Wanna Hippopotamus for Christmas, Christmas Don't Be Late, I Dure Do Like Those Christmas Cookies, Baby It's Cold Outside, Charlie Brown Christmas CD, Merry Swiftmas, and usually we add a new favorite every year.
I love that first card sooo much.
As for music, is there ever a time that I can't start listening? My mixes are all kinds at all times.
love the cards-both wonderful.
Usually start with Christmas music after Thanksgiving but may hear it anytime as it cycles on my ipod
Super fun tag card and beautiful design on the frame card. Love the patterned paper on the inside, the sweet little bird and of course, the stitching! So pretty ~ I begin listening to Christmas music as soon as Sirius turns on the Christmas channel! I love all kinds of holiday music...new, old, instrumental... just keeps me in the spirit! Thanks for sharing your projects with us!
Great cards, I especially like the little window frame that the birdie is peeking out of. I am having a really hard time getting into the holiday spirit to make cards for OWH (the early timelines throw off my internal clock), so I might have to try playing some holiday tunes early. Usually I wait until the day after Thanksgiving.
Love the tags. I usually start listening to Christmas music the day after Thanksgving. but If I had to tell the truth it would also be in July when it's 110 degrees outside.
Love your cards and sketches! I have trouble using tags, but I think your sketch may help me try it - I always like them when other people use them.
My birthday is in the first week of December, so that usually is a signal to me that Christmas is on its way and I break out the Christmas music!
Great cards! I love the colors more f the traditional colors and the papers are perfect. I have to tell you. I laugh at you comment on when do you listen to Christmas music. I stated in July when I did a Christmas hop. When I want to hear something joyful I go to Pandora Radio and pick my Christmas channel. TFS AJ-
Your cards are great! I wouldve broken out the song while crafting... Don't tell, but when I needed to start working on holiday cards for owh awhile back, I did turn on a couple of songs while I crafted!! ;). Normally I don't listen until right about thanksgiving.

Your cards are awesome! They are just such a perfect mix of stamping and dimension and colors and patterns...I really think they're amazing! I am going to try and pin them on Pinterest (I am good about linking and giving credit so everyone can see your other creations!) Thanks for sharing and for supporting OWH!
Wonderful cards and great sketches !
I usually start listening to Christmas music in November !
Love your cards! The papers are perfect for Christmas cards. Hmmm I start listening to Christmas music when I start decorating for Christmas which is the Friday after Thanksgiving! Thanks for an awesome prize. Of course, I could use more loot. Ha, ha.

Clever! Love your sketches and all of the little details on your cards!
Great sketches, wonderful cards. Love the double tag on the first - never thought about doing that and the window on the second card is so cute. Thanks for the wonderful ideas.
Oops. Forgot to say when we start listening to Christmas music. I make myself wait til Dec. 1.
I like what the presents add to the first one and the cut-out window of the second!
As for the music, after Halloween , if I can last that long and/or the first snowfall, of any amount!!
THANKS FOR SUCH GENEROUS CANDY!!!

Fabulous cards!! Your sketches are great! I try to make myself wait until Dec for Christmas music, unless we get a really pretty snowfall before then.
awesome tags! Christmas music.... probably right after Dec. 1
Great sketches and beautiful cards. I usually start listening around Thanksgiving when the tree and decorations come out of hiding.
I start listening to Christmas music on Thanksgiving day. When we sit down to eat, the music comes on. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful cards--I like the sketches you made and that cute bird. I like to wait until after Thanksgiving to listen to Christmas songs although we have been practicing Christmas songs in church choir for a while now.

Beautiful cards!!! I love them both!!! Thanks so much for hopping along with us! I love Christmas music, I generally put some on while making my Christmas cards, but I try really hard to refrain from singing along until after Thanksgiving!
Both of your cards are adorable! I especially like those cute tiny gifts on the 1st card.
Love your cards & your sketches are cute too! I am actually listening to Christmas music RIGHT NOW! Since I've been making Christmas cards, I figure what better way to get in the mood?
Love that you did your own sketches!
I have to wait until December to start listening to Christmas music. I hate that we haven't had Halloween yet and all the stores have Christmas stuff already on the shelves!
Still catching up on the hop - your bird card is just darling! Heard my first Christmas music today in Home Depot - they were stocking the shelves with Christmas stuff.
Amy your cards are amazing! You inspire me with every project you create!
Amy, I love your cards. And I love that you made a sketch first too. I start listening to Christmas music in my home the day after Thanksgiving, but if I hear some on the radio before then I don't always change the station. :)
